Cocoon beads made from cling film wrap









These strange looking beads remind me of cocoons. I made them from a long strip of cling film / food wrap which had a natural yellow tone to it (similar to latex). I wrapped the cling film round a barbeque stick then heated and distorted them with a heat gun. The cling film melted and fused together and formed a solid bead with a hole through it. As they cooled they hardened

ooh -they look like they could be very interesting with bits of thread and such tucked in between layers too - great idea

Great fun, Carolyn! I think the sweet wrappers and the cling wrap ideas are fantastic....I plan on trying these for some felt embellishment. Nice pix and easy instructions.
