Leaf Love

It's pouring down with rain here in St. Ives

Big, big raindrops, very fast, very heavy, very dark (but cosy) and it's noisy rain too! I could easily have had another half an hour in bed this morning just listening to it beating on the roof ... and thinking ... the more it rains now the more beautiful our Autumn will be. The rain is feeding the leaves for a great show in a couple of months and the words to a Paul McCartney song came to mind ...

The rain comes falling from the sky
To fill the stream that fills the sea
And that's where life began for you and me

It might have been a bright blue day
But rainclouds had to come this way

They're watering everything that they can see
A seed is waiting in the earth
For rain to come and give him free

So the next time you see rain, it ain't bad
Don't complain, it rains for you and me

I made this mosaic on Monday but I've had no time until now to show it here. So, today, I am bringing you more beautiful leaf art that I love from some very talented artists on flickr. Please click on the links to see the artists' work

Bless you today, artist friend. I hadn't thought to anticipate September just yet, but it is my favorite month. Smile. Enjoy the rain.

Th mosaic is lovely....yummy greens with bronzy browns...so end-of-summer. Although, I have to say here in the Northeast US we really haven't had a summer...raining here, too.
