St. Ives bay through agapanthus

A photo I took from The Malakoff, St. Ives looking towards Hayle and Godrevy through agapanthus which grows profusely in Cornwall. Textures are courtesy of playingwithbrushes

I'm still in Somerset with family and hoping to be home some time late tomorrow. Very much looking forward to getting back to normal and working on my various projects

Meanwhile, I've been playing with textures and layers in Photoshop and thought I would share one of my creations. More sketchbook soon :o)

Lovely composition. I particularly like the effect of what seems to be looking through the rim of a blue lens.

Hello :o)

Thank you for the lovely comments. Yes, Deborah that's what I like about it as well. I didn't really notice until after I had posted the picture on flickr. There is almost a blue halo around the flower. Thank you

Thanks for your comment. I can get competely distracted playing with textures etc., and there is such a lot you can learn via Flickr. My sketching is better 'free' as otherwise it is pretty feeble. I like the quilt and the sketch book pages. Liz Hardings drawing is great.
